About

Anne-Laure Arnoux

Anne-Laure Arnoux is a guest teacher and coach based in London and working internationally.
Her focus is on technical purity and style while nurturing individuality and artistry.

She is a pupil of Raymond Franchetti, Gilbert Mayer and Christiane Vaussard. They transmitted what was taught to them by the great ballet masters Ricaux and Zambelli, which is understood today as the blue print of the French school. Anne-Laure’s passion is to pass on this heritage, complemented with experiences she subsequently learned from other traditions, companies and styles.

Anne-Laure graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris with a First Prize, and from Paris Opera Ballet School.

She joined Paris Opera Ballet under the directorship of Rudolph Nureyev. She danced solo roles throughout the company’s classical repertoire and worked with Jerome Robbins, Jirí Kylián, Roland Petit, Pierre Lacotte, William Forsythe, John Neumeier, Paul Taylor, Mark Morris, Maguy Marin, Bob Wilson and Twyla Tharp, amongst others.

She also participated in the world premiere of Nureyev’s Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and La Bayadère.

Anne-Laure obtained her French ballet teacher State Diploma and is the only Munz Floor coach in the UK (certificate level 1&2).

She’s also served as Ballet mistress for the Montgomery City Ballet (USA) and oversaw the 2nd year Ladies at English National Ballet School.

She is now invited to teach prestigious companies such as The Royal Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, English National Ballet, Opera National de Bordeaux, Opera National du Rhin, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, The Scottish Ballet and Opera de Nice.
